Work

Charles, who heads up Natterbox in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, brings 29 years experience in the Information Technology sector including 15 years in IT security to Natterbox. He pioneered the Australian Content Filtering Industry from mid 90’s and led SurfControl and Webroot Software (formerly Emailsystems) to become market leaders. Charles commissioned three first-of-a-kind studies into the attitudes of Australian workers on Internet and email usage as well as security, and he is at the forefront of knowledge on the effects of the Internet on modern workplace practices. He was named “Top Pick” in Australian Reseller News list of Vendor Visionaries in 2010, is an active leader in Federal public policy development and a successful government lobbyist, achieving better outcomes for employers in NSW and Victorian surveillance and privacy regulations. Charles also serves on the board of the Australian Internet Industry Association (IIA) and “Encassa”, developers of CoDefender Identity Theft Protection.

Life

Charles has a passion for cooking and his favourite dishes are Barramundi and green papaya salad. He has been learning Mandarin for 4 years and also enjoys watching films and reading in his spare time. A travel lover, his preferred holiday destinations are Phuket, Thailand and Cuba although since becoming a dad last September his hands are full with nappies, rather than suitcases.
