An enthusiastic and skilled candidate is required to join a dedicated technical team responsible for ensuring all Natterbox staff have the equipment, systems and facilities they need to do their jobs. Natterbox is a rapidly expanding tech company and the right candidate must enjoy helping people with their IT problems and take pride creating well configured and organised systems that are easy to use and administer. This person will love technology and relish finding ways that technology can help people. An all round interest and basic understanding of all areas of technology is vital, as well and being a determined, successful and pragmatic problem solver.

Responsibilities:

  • Staff support services – PC setup and configuration
  • Installing and configuring office software, hardware and peripherals
  • Assistance with day to day configuration and running of cloud based software and services
  • Assistance with office networking, WiFi and Internet setup and connectivity
  • Device data security, privacy, AV and anti-malware systems
  • Deskphone setup, management and testing
  • Mobile device management, SIM, phone and tablet setup and configuration
  • Production of user guides, help and knowledge base articles
  • Staff training, assistance and guidance
  • Management of internal asset registers, including order, inventory, fault, repair and end-of life tracking
  • Office and general facilities day to day running in conjunction with COO and other Administrative staff

Education and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent in Computing, science or technical subjects

Desirable:

  • BTEC, IT apprenticeship and similar technical vocational courses
  • Higher education level qualifications

Experience

Essential:

  • At least two years working in IT support and administration roles within a modern business environment
  • Experience using and managing cloud computing tools for large groups of business users
  • Demonstrable technical assistance, support and training skills
  • Problem solving and solution mapping
  • PC and Mac hardware and OS setup, configuration and management
  • Use of basic scripting techniques to automate tasks
  • Experience and understanding of good security practices
  • Use of databases and organisational tools for asset and task management
  • Proven track record satisfying both management and staff needs

Desirable:

  • Google G-Suite administration
  • Exchange, Google and Office 365 email systems
  • Slack, Trello, Zapier applications.
  • Mobile Device Management systems
  • Excellent understanding of Office tools such as Microsoft products,
  • Configuring and using low-level OS tools
  • Use and integration of cloud systems to solve business problems
  • Experience of support ticketing systems
  • Experience of a rapidly expanding technology business
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Experience in a software development and technical environment

Skills

Essential:

  • High level of personal IT knowledge and skills
  • A good knowledge of Windows and its configuration – GPOs, batch scripts, the Registry, folder redirection
  • Hardware configuration, setup, fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of databases, data types and structured information systems
  • Basic coding and scripting techniques using IFTTT, batch scripts, programming languages etc
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Task focused with excellent organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Salesforce and CRM usage or management
  • Basic software development skills
  • A good understanding of Linux or DOS
  • Intermediate graphic manipulation skills
  • Web development
  • Server management
  • Internet connectivity and network communications

  • Live within commuting distance of Croydon, South London
  • Due to the nature of the role and location of the Company’s offices, staff and candidates, the jobholder must on occasion, be willing and available to work non-UK office hours
