Job Description

A technically competent Sales Engineer with excellent communication skills and an innate ability to explain technical solutions in non-technical terms is required to join a growing team with Natterbox. Sales Engineers are a key part of the sales cycle for the Natterbox Salesforce Integration products. Working extensively with customers and partners in the Salesforce Ecosystem, sales engineers discover customer business requirements, design solutions to customer problems using the Natterbox product set and provide interactive and engaging product demonstrations.


  • Work closely with the sales team to win new business
  • Running demos both online and in person on Natterbox products
  • Foster strong relationships with Salesforce SE teams.
  • Work collaboratively with Salesforce and Salesforce partners to design detailed solutions to customer problems.
  • Answering RFI and service detail requests
  • Attend site (mainland Europe and potentially globally) to provide onsite assistance during the sales process
  • Design, build and run product trials for potential customers
  • Provide technical support for the customer
  • Document customer requirements
  • Work closely with other Natterbox departments to remove roadblocks to the sale

Education and Qualifications

  • “Degree” level intellect
  • Salesforce administrator qualification or similar



  • Familiarity with Salesforce
  • Previous experience in a Sales Engineering role
  • Experience supporting the sale of technical products and services


  • Experience of working within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Experience in a VOIP Service Provider/ Telco environment
  • Ability to push projects forwards proactively
  • Experience running customer trials



  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical solutions and/or issues to non-technical people is essential
  • Detailed understanding of the commercial implications of any technical communication with customers
  • Comfortable building new business relationships with partners and Salesforce to help raise the profile of Natterbox
  • Good IT skills and a command of the following systems is vital:
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take full ownership of the customers they have responsibility for
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines according to customer and sales team needs
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Able to work under the pressure of a sales cycle
  • Good documentation skills
  • Proficient at note taking for meeting minutes, action lists
  • Experience with completing tenders/RFIs
  • Good problem solving and solution design skills. Ability to quickly come up with robust technical solutions to customer requests
  • Ability to effectively design solutions for customer’s requirements using the product set available


  • Technical understanding of the following areas would be very beneficial:

-Telecoms, VoIP
-LAN Networking
-QoS setup

  • Business analysis skills
  • Experience working at trade shows
  • Experience running training/webinar sessions
